To conduct focused research on cancer, infection disease, mental health amongst a few of many complex diseases requires a world class facility.

The Queensland Institute of Medical research was established in 1945, has grown to a three campus facility with more than 700 scientists conducting active research. The QIMR has been assisted through the generous philanthropy or American Mr Chuck Feeney and Australian Mr Clive Berghofer AM, a Toowoomba based property developer who has contributed $60 million to the QIMR. The newest facility now known as the QIMR Berghofer Central Building bares his name. The QIMR Berghofer Central building is a purpose-built, 15 storey research facility located within the Royal Brisbane Hospital campus.

The new facility completed in 2012 features 20 state of the art laboratories and research spaces that will allow the institute to accommodate over 1000 scientists in the next decade.  Holyoake products were the equipment of choice for this impressive, new and important research facility.
